Christmas is fast approaching and you still are unsure on what to buy for the kids. For girls, a myriad of choices are available from dolls, to bags to accessories. As long as it is pink and bright, you are sure that girls would love it. However, getting the perfect Christmas gift for boys is quite harder. You have to take note of how old the children are and if they will be interested in toys for younger or older children. Boys can be quite picky, too, and you don’t want your gift to sit in its box because it is not interesting enough.
The secret in choosing a perfect Christmas gift for boys is to pick something classic. When we talk about classic, I think there is nothing that beats LEGO Star Wars Building Sets. That is why for Christmas, give your son the LEGO Star Wars Anakin’s Fighter Star Wars Building Sets and you will surely see his good behavior!.
The LEGO Star Wars Anakin’s Fighter Star Wars Building Sets consists of a ready to build Anakin Skywalker customized Jedi starfighter. The LEGO Star Wars Building Sets pieces are not that easy to put together that your child will get bored with it and not that hard for him to give up. Actually, once he opens the box, no one will be able to talk to him for hours until he gets the starfighter up and running. The set also includes R2 D2 and Anakin Skywalker miniature action figures. A small eject button can be pushed to eject R2 D2 from his seat, making it more sci-fi and high-tech. On top of that, there is also a flick firing missile. When your child decides that playtime is over, he can land the fighter in style with the retractable landing gear that comes with it. For the price, these LEGO Star Wars Building Sets are by no means a cheap buy. The fighter measures 10 inches long so it feels sturdy and expensive in your child’s hands.
Give your son something he will not only love but something that will keep him busy for hours and hours on end, too. Give him the LEGO Star Wars Anakin’s Fighter now.

Fun toy!

A nice toy to play with. There are 2 figures, Anakin and r2-d2.Every once in a while the wings fall off, but very rarely. 2 missles to shoot other ships with. Anakin's lightsaber is very easy to build on the other hand though the back of the ship was hard to build. If you don't like to take things apart this set is not for you. I always had to take some off because they were in the wrong place. If this is your first set it doesn't include droids so get a different set. (Unless you don't want to fight!)
My Grandsons love Legos!!!

Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Starfighter was one of two that my grandson wanted for his 7th birthday. I was able to find this one so I purchased it and sent it off to them in Illinois. Today,February 26,2010 is his big day and when I called my daughter and her husband and the kids early this A.M. he was too busy playing with it to come to the phone. It was a hit, but then, what boy and many girls don't love Legos's. Even his younger brother has a list, alas one of his is the $500. Bicentennial set so that's a bit out there for me.
Today, as my grandsons birthday surprise they're off from the suburbs to downtown Chicago to The Planetarium and where else? but of course, THE LEGO STORE, where they also went last summer. What a wonderful birthday this will be for him and his younger brother. Next grandsons birthday is 4.10.10 and so there will be more Legos headed his way.. Oh, and I forgot, I'm flying out 3.8.10 for a week and will of course have lego surprises in my suitcases.. Wish I still had all my now grown son's Lego's for the boys!! |

I bought this set because it was the cheapest way (at the time it only cost $19.99) to get Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2. This set comes with one awesome Anakin Skywalker figure that has a very detailed printed head and torso. He also has a gray lightsaber hilt with a light blue blade. In addition to Anakin this set comes with one R2-D2 figure that has a fantastic printed body and head. The Starfighter itself is a fairly easy build and when finished it looks very sleek and almost identical to the one in the TV Series. The Starfighter is equipped with an ejection mechanism for R2-D2 which is a neat idea, but sadly it doesn't really work. The fighter is also outfitted with a good cockpit, landing gear, and two blue flick missiles (one on each side of the cockpit). Well, here are the basics of the set:
The good things
Anakin Skywalker
R2-D2
Starfighter
Lightsaber
Blue flick missiles
Landing gear
Control panel piece
Printed republic symbol piece
The bad things
Stickers
Flick missiles
Ejection mechanism
Over all, I highly recommend this set.

Grandpa Wanting to Please the Grandkids

My Grandchildren wanted a Starwars Lego set. I did some product research and decided on this item. It has many small pieces and was difficult for the 8 year old to assemble. In fact, he had to have his uncle assemble it. Although it made a nice toy when finished, I would not suggest this as a play item. It was a lot of money for a bunch of plastic. Although I have always been pleased with buying Legos for the kids in the past, I would not go for a this or a similar product in the future.

This took about 45 minutes to put together and my 6 1/2 year old couldn't do it. I wouldn't even let him sit by me b/c I had to concentrate!! But it was a good toy and my son has enjoyed playing with it. It has stayed together pretty well. It did break when he put it in his bag. But I was able to reassemble it.

My 6 year old brother has it and loves it!The only bad thing is Anakin's hair keeps popping off. We like the way R2 D2 can pop out of the ship.
Good Buy.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he loves Star Wars. Unlike the other ones that he has bought in the past this one was reasonably priced and looked great when he put it together. I like how you move R2D2 back and a piece of lego shoots out. I am not into Star Wars but I am really glad that I bought it for him. I would recommend this for anyone who is into Star Wars.

My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the process of putting this together. It was a great learning experience on how to follow detailed instructions and the cause and effect of not doing so. The down side is that the little pieces don't stay together well and it can be very frustrating to pretend play with it. If you are looking for something to challenge someone who is creative and likes to build and create something new all the time, it's a great toy. If you are looking for something for a Star Wars fan who likes to imagine and act out their own battles and scenes, stick with a non-Lego toy.

My 10 year old loves it and so does his 7 year old brother. If your kids are into Star Wars and Legos this is the toy for you!
